  1. After the allotted time you were given (either 24hrs or 2-3 days), rinse out your mouth using Corsodyl mouth rinse or warm salty water and do this for the next few days. Also cotton buds dipped in warm water and corsodyl can be used to clean your sutures after each meal.
  1. If wearing a denture, leave it in for at least 24hrs before removing. Leave it in at night for the 1st week only, after this you must remove it at night. It is very important to keep your denture clean.
  1. Use Ice(Frozen Peas) wrapped in a clean damp cloth and hold them up to your face to decrease swelling.
  1. A soft diet is advised for the next few days.
  1. If bleeding persists, roll up some gauze (provided or kitchen paper), place it on the area and bite down hard and hold it in this position for 15 – 20 min's. If this doesn’t stop bleeding, wet a tea bag with cold water and press firmly to the site of bleeding for a further 15 – 20 min's.
